Ok, ok, I´m finally writing some more. I guess a week is too long not to write anything - especially when I have access to a computer so easily right now. For those of you who don´t know I met up with my old friend Erik here in Denmark last week. I´ve been staying at his house with him and his girlfriend Lone since the 1st. I can´t believe it´s already been a week! We´ve been having a great time.
This last weekend was especially a lot of fun. Saturday we had a surprise bachelor-type party for two of Erik and Lone´s friends. First we went golfing. I haven´t golfed in years (I don´t even remember the last time) so I was just hoping I wouldn´t be the one they wait all day on. But it turned out that everyone else was just as bad as me:) I think I may have even gotten the highest score (which is pretty sad). I scored a 59 - which would have been great if we played 18 holes. We did have that. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun and it´s fun to say I´ve golfed in Denmark now.
We went straight from the golf course to the bowling alley. I played with Erik and Tommy (the guest of honor) where we seemed to trade off who won which game. We played so much that even as I type my right arm aches. Bowling - one more game I haven´t played in years and now I wonder why I haven´t done either one more often.
We finished bowling around 6pm or so and had already had a long day of lots of activity. But the party wasn´t over yet. We went back to Tommy and Jane´s house for a big danish dinner. These guys know how to party here in Denmark. I should have been taking notes to teach some people who to do it right back in the States. We had tons of food followed by lots of good wine and booze. Erik´s friend Jesper kept fixing me up with some Red Bull-like concoction of who knows what most of the night. He kept telling me it was great because it wouldn´t give me a hangover the next day (he was right). Everyone kept going and going all night...no, literally all night. I left to go to sleep after 4am and just about everyone was still going strong.
I´m having a great time here in Denmark but I´ll soon head south again. Not quite sure where I´ll go just yet, just know I have a lot of other places to see. I just hope I have as much fun during the rest of my time here in Europe as I have here in "Wild Mountain" (the english translation of Vildbjerg).
