Bonjour from Montreal!
Rachel and I made it here Thursday night and have been having a crazy time since we parked the truck. Montreal has already been even better than I remember it from last time. I’m crashing out at the home of the CouchSurfing Collective – our homebase for blowing the couching concept wide open. Look for great things to come about in the coming weeks and months. We will change the world.
We’re working out of an apartment in downtown Montreal. Last night there were at least four people who slept here but that number is likely to never remain the same from night to night. Our core group so far includes Casey (the founder of CouchSurfing), Julienne from Toronto, me, and Rachel from NJ. Rachel will be heading back to the Garden State in a few days while Casey and Julienne will be here for the entire summer. I don’t have any plans to leave before the summer is over but while I’m, of course, keeping my options open I can easily see myself keeping camp here until the end of August. I love this concept and the people I continually meet through it way too much to want to think about it ending. I expect 5556 rue Saint-Denis will remain my residence for some time to come.

i don’t know if its possible, but if I could find a cheap flight, I would love to fly up and hang out for a weekend to experience your couch surfing world. How does that sound?
I am going to try and go to CS get together in Munich on Friday. Have fun.
