I got an email forwarded to me yesterday helping me weigh the political issues in a ‘fair and balanced’ way. While it obviously came from the McCain/Palin camp I was amazed at one thing.
For the last eight years Bush has McCain’s and the Republican Party”s absolute hero. Even while he was destroying everything in his path they stood behind him with big grins on their faces. Is it only surprising to me that they now want so little to do with Bush and the current administration that they even say that Obama – the challenger and enemy of the GOP – would do what Bush would do?
The craziest (and truly boldest) part about this to me is that their 11th our pitch is “We’re not like Bush, Obama is!” What’s next? Will I get an email later today calling him “Obama bin Laden”?
I’m glad you posted this public-service-announcement. I was going to vote for Obama, but how can I support someone who so clearly wants to “Destroy Jobs”?
