Rue St. Denis, Montreal
I forget how many pics of the house i've posted, so I went ahead and did a quick walk-through just now, snapping away. Here ya go...
Where is that couch these days, anyway?
The couch has been lonely and somewhat neglected lately, largely due to my own failure at inventing excuses to get it out on the town. I'll work on that. In the meantime Lucy sits in the corner next to the world map and nestled in front of a map of her favorite land: Hawaii.

Camping in Maine
This last weekend a few of us (a total of 14) from the CSC in Montreal went camping in Maine at Lake Aziscoos. It was great!
When I find a few more extra moments I'll relay the story of my 3 hour detainment at the Canadian border, followed by being formally asked (or, rather, required) by the Canadian government to leave the country immediately. Anyway, i'll tell the story another time. Right now it's time for ice cream!

Pictures of Montreal: CouchSurfing Collective
I apologize for not updating this blog more often. I started this entry at 8:30am this morning and am only now getting around to saving it to my site. Since this morning I've had about four hours of meetings, helped someone move a bed across town, responded to a few nasty and misguided (and misdirected) emails received through the CouchSurfing site, and helped Chris make a huge batch of mac and cheese for a quick lunch. I haven't even had time today to take a much needed shower or even change my clothes (mostly because that would require digging through a huge mess looking for supposed clean clothes). Anyway, things are busy but I want to keep those of your interested in the loop of what's going on with me since you take the time to visit my little corner of the internet. Click on the picture above to open up an album of various pics I've taken since I've been here. Some of them you've seen, some are new. Enjoy.
Oh, on related news: I broke my camera's screen. Again. For the fourth time. Ahem, make that the fouth and final time. Even with a thick protective screen over the LCD the housing is just too delicate. I've been on the hunt for a new one. I've found one (forget what it's called now) that supposedly absorbs a 5ft. drop AND is so waterproof that they advertise you can take pictures underwater but I don't have the cash just yet. Who wants to donate some much needed picture taking funds?

Brainstorming ideas
I'm playing around with ideas on what to do with my pictures. My friend Catherine in NYC editted a pic she took of my couch where only the couch is in color. I've since been playing with a few other of my favorite pics and while I'm not sure if it looks all that great I'm at least having fun doing it. Here's one I'm working on right now. What do you think?

More Memphis Pics!
Did I mention that I had a great time in Memphis? Not only did we live it up all week but we took pictures of a LOT of it. Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!
Thanks again to Kellen (www.kellenkjera.com) for the great shots! Some of the ones in the album linked above are mine but the really cool shots are Kellen's. Thanks, K!

What a big bat!
Louisville was awesome! I loved it there. I met great people through CouchSurfing (thanks Katelyn and Jen!) and loved the Slugger museum and factory tour. They even gave me my own little bat! Fun stuff. Check out the pics.
Pictures of Canada
Want more pictures? You got 'em! In Canada I was able to meet up with a couple of different photographers who took great pictures. Thanks to Joan in Montreal for the pictures on top of the hill (er, excuse me, "mountain") and for Kurt Edward in Toronto for the studio shots. I loved how both of these sets came out. We reall had a fun time!
The pics in the studio could use a bit of an explaination. The girl in the picture with me is Dani, my awesome CouchSurfing host in Toronto. We had a lot of fun. The guy on the motorcycle with me is Kurt, the mad genius photographer. We had a lot of fun taking shots with his camera on a timer so we could both be in them. I was surprised at how well they came out!
Update on my location: I'm in Memphis again, visiting my good buddy Kellen. We took more pictures yesterday and hopefully I'll be able to put them online soon. Several of them came out great!

A Walk in the Park - Central Park NYC
Last week I made it to Central Park in New York City for a day of fun with two friends from New Jersey - Sharon, my friend from way-back-when and a new friend (and amazing photographer) Catherine Babin (www.PapillonPress.com). Catherine snapped up more than 100 pics that day in the park. Wanna see them? Click here!

Mr. Red Couch Goes To Washington
DC was, of course, full of ample opportunities to snap up a memorable pic of an inflatable red couch in front of something historic.
Wanna see where ol' Red went? Find out by clicking here.

Philly pics!
I'm on a roll with these photo albums. I've gone through yet another stack and have my Philadelphia pictures now available for your viewing delight. As with the New York and New Jersey pics I've also labeled them. Enjoy!

New York City and New Jersey pics
Finally there are pictures! I made a few albums and have just now made them available for your viewing pleasure. Here is the first.
While I'm at it I'll include one more. Yesterday we went out to Red Bank (home of Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash) in the famed Quick Stop from the Kevin Smith's movie "Clerks". Afterward we took a drive down to the Jersey Shore and the boardwalk for some good times with sand between our toes. The Couch made an appearance and we got pics. See these pics by clicking here.

Blast Off!
Discovery is away! I really lucked out making it back to central Florida by accident when the shuttle was taking off. Unfortunatly I was too late getting through the traffic to a good spot so I didn't have time to blow up the couch. I arrived with 9 minutes to go. But I did get a lot of decent pics of the takeoff. Enjoy!

Mixed bag of goodies (pics)
I haven't written anything in awhile and I'm starting to feel guilty about it, especially after asking you all to click on the links for my sponsors. I always feel like I need to write a huge wrap-up of everything that's happened. Unfortunately for you all that would take me hours on end to do since every day seems to be full of some sort of excitement. Instead of waiting until I can prepare something mind-blowingly spectacular for you I'm going to go ahead and go with more of a quantity over quality ratio. It'll still be good stuff, just not always the perfection I never get around to achieving.
Here's an easy croud pleaser: pictures!
Isn't it amazing how well a car tire fits so perfectly on my motorcycle? As you may have read earlier we blew out a tire on the way back from sailing in Miami. My host Marcos called up a friend who had a spare he was willing to part with in exchange for a deal on a circumcision. Marcos is a doctor and was happy to offer his services. The guy even lined up another friend of his who wanted one, too. Only in Miami...
Speaking of sailing, above is most of the group that I went out with. Marilyn, the woman on the the left, organized the whole deal. We paid $15 each (wow!) to go out on two of the boats and learn how to sail them. I steered the boat most of the time but learned a lot about adjusting the sails and the value of having an anchor when you're trying to swim (the boat drifts away so fast!) I love sailing! I'll have to get a boat one day or at least crew on one for a few trips.
Of course I got the couch out on the boat. Kasha relaxes on it in the sun.
One of the boats we took out for the afternoon.
