Camping in Maine

This last weekend a few of us (a total of 14) from the CSC in Montreal went camping in Maine at Lake Aziscoos. It was great!

When I find a few more extra moments I'll relay the story of my 3 hour detainment at the Canadian border, followed by being formally asked (or, rather, required) by the Canadian government to leave the country immediately. Anyway, i'll tell the story another time. Right now it's time for ice cream!

Oh, Canada!

Bonjour from Canada!


Although an extremely cold rain tried to keep me in Vermont yesterday I somehow managed to make it to Montreal just before dark last night. Making it to Canada feels like a monumental goal.

Maine was also a blast. I had two sets of awesome hosts while I was there. Thanks to Linda in Topsham and Jeremy and Marcie just up Route 1 in Hope. Linda picked me up a small birthday cake along with neighboring New Hampshire's own Ben and Jerry's "Gobfather" ice cream (in homage to a reference I made the night before about sleeping with a horse's head - you just had to be there) and I had lobster for the first time with Jeremy and Marcie in their home (I had it in the perfect place!) Maine wouldn't have been the same without all three of you.
