A Walk in the Park - Central Park NYC

cpark02red_(1).jpg

Last week I made it to Central Park in New York City for a day of fun with two friends from New Jersey - Sharon, my friend from way-back-when and a new friend (and amazing photographer) Catherine Babin (www.PapillonPress.com). Catherine snapped up more than 100 pics that day in the park. Wanna see them? Click here!

New York City and New Jersey pics

Finally there are pictures! I made a few albums and have just now made them available for your viewing pleasure. Here is the first.

While I'm at it I'll include one more. Yesterday we went out to Red Bank (home of Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash) in the famed Quick Stop from the Kevin Smith's movie "Clerks". Afterward we took a drive down to the Jersey Shore and the boardwalk for some good times with sand between our toes. The Couch made an appearance and we got pics. See these pics by clicking here.

Times Square, Baby!

The Couch and I made it to NYC! Whille staying with some friends across the river in New Jersey we went into New York on Saturday night to celebrate Jersey Red's birthday. The evening started off with good eats at a "diner/bistro-ish" (i still have no idea what that means) place in Hell's Kitchen, walked a few blocks down for some great improv comedy, and ended up in Times Square around midnight. Oh, and of course Lucy The Couch came along for the ride.

Walking around a crouded city, er, no, THE City, after midnight on a Saturday night with a couch slung over one's shoulder is - let me tell you - no picnic. Times Square is a magnet for all sorts of night life and it's no small chore navigating the streets without bumping into each other, even without a ridiculously oversized inflatable in tow. But it was all worth it when I managed to get several great shots of Lucy in all her glory.

Thanks goes out to Catherine Babin with Papillon Press for snapping up the great shots. And of course I have to say thanks to Sharon (or "Red" as I like to call her) for turning 39 for the second time.

:)
